There are many ways for parents to help make Mariposa Little League run smoothly.
- Be an Assistant Coach by helping run practices and coaching during the games
- Be a Team Parent (organize snacks for games, communicate practice and game info to all the parents, organize the end of year party)
- Be an Umpire (have to be trained and commit to a certain amount of hours)
- Help our Sponsorship Manager to get new league sponsors
- Be your team’s scorekeeper using the scoreboard or in a scorebook
- Help in managing the Snack Bar or work extra shifts
Our Little League is an all-volunteer organization and WE NEED YOU to keep going and make this a great experience for our kids. Contact any of the league officers to find out more.
Background Checks
As a condition of service to the Mariposa County Little League, all managers, coaches, Board of Directors members, and any other persons, or volunteers who provide regular service to the league and/or have repetitive access (any role or position that provides an adult with multiple opportunities to create a relationship with a player) to, or contact with players or teams, must register on this website as a volunteer and complete the official Little League Volunteer online background application using the JDP system. Additionally all new Team Managers, assistant coaches and umpires will need to complete a "live scan" by Mariposa county Sheriffs office. This is a one time free finger printing to be approved for all local sports that use county fields. See link below for required forms
Annual background screenings must be completed prior to the applicant assuming his/her duties for the current season. Refusal to annually submit a fully-completed Little League Volunteer Application must result in the immediate dismissal of the individual from the local league.
